Riding your bike is a great way to get outside, enjoy the outdoors and have a little fun. You can do it with a group or by yourself. You can ride when it’s nice outside, or when Mother Nature is not cooperating as much. No matter when, where or with who; bike clothing will make your ride better. When it’s warm outside the cycle clothing will wick the sweat away, as well channel airflow to keep you cool and comfortable. When it’s not as nice, there is also cycle specific clothing. It is designed to keep the elements out and is cut in a way that allows you to maintain the cycling position. (Long in the back and short in the front). No matter the weather a bike short is necessary. You can take a tractor-sized seat with springs and gel, assuming it will make your bike more comfortable. However the seat is still stationary and you will move around it while cycling; causing discomfort. In contrast a padded bike short will move with you allowing for much more comfort regardless the saddle, rider and riding style.
